At just 21 years old, Dallas native 4batz has quickly emerged as one of music’s most compelling new voices. He first made waves with his debut single "act i: stickers '99," which racked up over 2.5 million streams on Spotify in under six months. With early cosigns from SZA, Drake, and Kanye West, 4batz’s rise was described by Billboard as “the most exciting thing to happen in the last six months in the music industry.” He was named Billboard’s Rookie of the Month in March, spotlighted in their 2024 Artist to Watch list, and featured in Complex’s Best New Artists roundup. While his debut sparked early attention, it was his viral From The Block performance of “act ii: date @ 8” that took things to another level. The track debuted at No. 77 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 16 on Hot R&B Songs, later climbing thanks to a remix featuring Drake. The remix pulled in over 3 million streams in its first 24 hours and debuted at No. 7 on the Hot 100, also landing No. 1 on the Hot R&B Songs chart. In May, 4batz dropped his debut mixtape u made me a st4r, which included the Ye-assisted remix of “act iii: on god? (she like).” The project debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart, earning him a spot on their 21 Under 21 list for 2024. In April 2025, he made his Coachella debut with a standout performance, bringing out fellow rising star Sailor, making it one of the weekend’s most talked-about moments. 4batz continues to showcase his versatility with his latest single “WYA” featuring Sexyy Red.
